57 was improvised and performed at the Island (Bristol) for The Bristol Germ Chapter 3 Launch Party on the 01/02/20.
EP/64 should've broken up by now - this was the 57th assembly of the 64 part EP (Ephemeral Project): a shifting lineup of 'live only' pummeling improv noise, 'ard punk skronk and vocal witchcraft that was due to end suddenly on their 64th gig in July 2020. Past revolving door members include Ossia, Gretchen (from Guttersnipe), Yoshino Shigihara, Silver Waves, members of Gnod, Agathe Max, Annie Gardiner (Hysterical Injury), DJ Ductape, Laura Philipps, Jesse Webb, Copper Sounds. They're a band now kept in suspended animation, waiting to fulfil their ephemeral nature.
ATC present you with this historical live document on its one year anniversary. A night when EP/64's only permanent players Dali de Saint Paul (Harrga / Viridian Ensemble) and drum powerhouse Dan Johnson fused explosively with guest wails from Ben Vince on sax and electronics (also of Housewives and much solo acclaim). Never could an 'improv band' move a room of people like this, never has an 'improv band' hit you so hard in the face with two microphones.
We spoke to people on the ground in Bristol about EP/64's cultish Avon following
